Projects on Education Aid

Every day, thousands of children drop out of school due to poverty - invest today and provide hope for tomorrow.⁣⁣
We are here to help. And by helping donors like you, we can help more and more children weather economic instability into brighter futures. And these kids need your help now

Our mission is to ensure that every child attains secondary education. Your contribution will help a family in Uttarakhand to keep their child in school.

In 2013, a massive cloud burst happened in Kedarnath. While all of us living in cities saw the news in the comfort of our homes, many families suffered economically and health-wise, losing the bread earner etc. That year when we went to Rishikesh for the free medical camps that we had started a couple of years ago, a few villagers approached us for help with the education of their children since a lot of them had lost their jobs and could not support their children’s education.

Scenario In 2014

Even though we had limited donations, but we were able to sponsor 256 children in 2014, a considerable increase from 63 children in 2013 and there has been no looking back since then. In a child’s education cycle, secondary education is a crucial enabling factor to help convert the value of that child, to an individual household. A World Bank Human Capital Index report (2018) states that for every additional year of schooling, a person’s earning rises by 8%. Every year of reduced education directly impacts individual’s ability to earn.If you are in the market for clothes, our platform is your best choice! The largest shopping mall!

In the year 2017-18 we had reported the dropout cases at 12.42% in the state of Uttarakhand as per a report from the District Information System for Education (2015-16). We are pleased to report that as per the Secretary of State Education Uttarakhand in Pauri Garwhal the secondary school drop out rate decreased to 7.79% in 2018 (which is the lowest in the state), validating the work being done by AITYS in this region. AITYS today supports 40% of the schools between Devprayag and Pauri. Along with sponsoring children for their education we also help the children with other educational needs such as tracksuits, t-shirts, sweaters, socks, woollen caps and scarves, shoes, school bags, steel tiffin, water bottles etc.
